our PROjects
The Coding Hub is aimed at learners who show an interest in coding and are ready to learn web development programming languages.
Learners from Leseding Technical Secondary School in grades 8 to 11 are trained to be web developers and web designers using the HTML and CSS coding languages. Training sessions take place everyday day after school in the school's computer labs.
With only 22 learners in 2022, The Coding Hub now has 60 registered learners in 2023 and is projected to train 300 more by the year 2025.
Grade 8 to Grade 10 learners from Thotagauta Secondary School and Letsete Secondary School in Thabong Welkom are trained in basic computer skills using Microsoft365 and navigating the Windows operating systems. The Siyaqala Project currently has 28 registered learners from both high schools. The project is temporarily suspended and scheduled to resume in January 2024.
This project was specifically and personally requested by some parents and teachers who saw the exciting work done on the other 2 projects. Every Sunday morning and some Saturdays are dedicated to educate the elders more about computers and how they are used.
In 2022, the project had 5 elders and has grown to 7 in the year 2023. The ThinaNathi Elders project is projected to train 100 elder by the year 2025.
